“D” Pit was on the shore, just to the South of the Lookout. It mined the Wallarah Seam. As this was under sea level, the mine had problems with water seepage.

 

The engine house was converted to a home and for many years was occupied by a local teacher.

 

It was destroyed in the 2013 bushfire.
