Dyke - accurate
The NE-SW dykes, such as those on the rock platform formed during a period of uplift, approximately 50 Ma.
This occurred as the area passed over a volcanic plume (hot spot) to form the Hornsby Plateau.
The NW-SE dykes formed approximately 90 Ma as the land surface was stretched with opening of the Tasman Sea.
