Voclanic dykes can be produced at plate boundaries but these were produced under the Australian Plate as it passed over a volcanic plume and also at times when the Plate was being pulled apart by currents in the Mantle.

As the Plate moves over a Plume, sheets of lava can cover the surface over large areas.

Lava can also produce domes which can raise the surface.

When lava moves up through cracks in the rocks it produces Dykes,  Horizontal cracks produe Sillls
