Pinny Beach
Pinny Beach was once better known as the "windswept heath of Pincushion Plain". It was named after the shrubs with sharp needle-like leaves that grew here.
These may have been Prickly Moses, Acacia ulicifolia or Prickly-leaved Paperbark, Melaleuca nodosa.
