A common plant with both resprouting lignotubers that you will see recovering from the controlled burn is the Wallum Banksia (Banksia aemula).
It was given this name by the Kabi People of the QLD Sunshine Coast and Wallum refers to the dunes on which it grows.
Here it is resprouting from its base and the flowers have appeared in Autumn.
